Orchard Painting and Decorating originated around 1953 by Dominick Ianniello.  At that time, Dominick was employed as a full time painter in New Haven, CT making a modest income.  However, with a family to support he needed something more.  He decided to start a part-time business painting homes and because he lived on Orchard Street he cleverly named himself The Orchard Painting and Decorating Company.


In 1961, after returning from the Army and with his father's health deteriorating, William Ianniello continued the business that his father had started.  Bill took his father's experience and molded it with his own to legitimize the business and started painting homes in the New Haven area full time.


In 1963, Bill took the next step by incorporating the business.  Orchard Painting and Decorating, Inc. continued serving customers in the New Haven area by painting homes and engaging in some light commercial jobs with the promise to offer exceptional painting for fair prices.


Today Orchard Painting & Decorating, Inc. has advanced once again with the addition of Bill's two sons, Bill Jr. and David.  The three together handle the daily operations of the business and continue its legend in the same place it all started, Orchard Street.
